Christina Thead, an Atlanta native, established Christina's Interior Finishes in 1996. After 13 years in medical sales and a career counseling course at Ogelthorpe University, she realized her talents and passion were for color theory and the decorative painting field.
Since 1996, Christina has designed and painted for both high-end and commercial clients.  As a decorative artist, she has painted murals, cabinets, furnture, walls, ceilings, mantles, columns, and accessories with faux and decorative finishes. Although most of her work has been in North Atlanta, she has created finishes for South Carolina clients as well.
Christina has been honored to participate in five Atlanta area showhouses. Her faux finishes/decorative painting were featured in the 2001 Atlanta Symphony Decorator's Showhouse, the Roswell Women's Club Showcase homes 2002, 2003, and 2006, and the Echelon Home Tour 2006. In the Roswell  Women's Showcase Home 2003 she was one of the featured designers , where she painted, designed and decorated the Nanny's Craft room , adjacent hallway and laundry room.
Christina has been an active member of the Peachtree Decorative Artists Guild  since 2002. This guild, known as the PDA, provides education, support, and professional networking opportunities for its decorative artist members. Since 2003, she has served on their Board of Directors as Chairperson for the fund raiser and philanthropic and public relations commitees.

Christina Thead graduated from the Westminster Schools of Atlanta in 1978 and the University of Georgia with a BA in Economics in 1982.
After realizing that decorative painting was her true calling and not medical sales, she commenced to apprentice with faux finish teachers to experience field knowledge. She continued her education with classes from various sites around North Atlanta. These included the Spruill Center, Paintn' the Town Faux, Atlanta School of Fine Finishes, as well as Gwinnett and Fulton County continuing education courses. Christina is constantly researching and learning new techniques and trends in the marketplace.
Christina has been an active member of the Peachtree Decorative Artisits Guild since 2002. The guild meets monthly to discuss business , learn new faux finishes, and to  hone skills on existing techniques. This guild has proven an excellent tool not only for continuing education but also for acquiring additional business skills.  She has been on the Board of Directors as Chairperson for the fund raising and philanthropic and public relations commitees.
